OK, so for me (or the others?), the concept of death for countries is very confusing. I mean, people say they're immortal, but they could get wounded too. See, in one episode, The Allies captured Italy and Germany. One of them pointed a gun at Italy, saying that he'll shoot if he doesn't fill him up on info. If the countries really were immortal, then Italy wouldn't have minded them shooting his head off. But instead, he didn't want to, rambling all he knew about Germany.

So to try and avoid confusion, I proposed a death theory:

Countries, after all, are immortal. But not forever. There is only one factor that triggers vulnerability:

Warfare.

If the country is engaged in a major war or a major civil war, he/she becomes vulnerable. His/her defense, however, is a bit higher than that of a mortal. Although there are cases in which very heavy depression causes vulnerability. It's somewhat like an inner warfare.

Even though they are vulnerable, only another country could kill them. Humans are possible too, but that would take a huge amount of damage. Stabbing someone 37 times in the chest and eating their hands isn't heavy damage.

Although, countries can die of sickness, too. But only 2 factors can trigger fatal illness:

If the country has been cursed
If the country has terribly low health. By health, I don't mean life points. That's a game thing.

They could still recover. As long as the country's health improves, he/she will heal. So by now I could say Austria has the lowest health, seeing that he is deemed "unfit" as he easily tires in doing manual work and he wears a corset to keep his figure.

So far, that's what I have thought of after 2 nights of pondering on my bed XD

If anyone has anything else to add please inform me, I will be glad that someone actually took time to read. I will also do a Birth Theory and, if possible, an Election Theory
